“Mr. Emerald” is a pivotal visual work in a series that explores the affective relationship between women, nature, and memory; here, the organism emerges as an actor in a symbolic world of tranquility.

The painting is centered around the cat Zumurrud, who is strategically positioned within the scene; she is not just a passing element, but a “silent guardian” of daily memory, a witness to intimate feelings and personal stories.
