In this work, I tried to translate the feeling of “empty waiting” into a visual language. It's not just a man sitting, but an emotional state I built with lines, colors and symbols. The man with his tired features is the centerpiece of the painting, embodying a state of contentment and despair. The empty and rickety chair reinforces the feeling of loneliness, and the skeleton of the fish is a cruel symbol of an inevitable end or a dead dream. The red rose on the floor is a remnant of a withered hope, and the chain dangling from his hand is a faded memory that weighs down his soul. The blurry background gives a sense of loss and uncertainty, as if the world around him is fading away. The painting has the spirit of the Expressionist school; the lines are clear and straightforward, the colors are carefully saturated, and every element in the painting contributes to creating an atmosphere of deep sadness and silence. A piece that captures the beauty of the sadness inherent in moments of waiting.

An oil painting, or acrylic, expresses a moment of waiting, heavy and loaded with silence. A man sitting in a rickety chair, his face is disillusioned, his features tired. One hand holds a small red jewelry box as if it holds a dream that never comes with a broken ring inside, and the other hand is dangling a chain with a faded shine. The colors between the cold blue of his jacket, the faint yellow in a blurry background, and the pale green of his pants, each color tells a story of despair and silence. The red rose on the floor and the skeleton of a fish on the empty chair are signs of the end of a story or a dream. A painting that embodies a moment of hopeless waiting.
