Title: “Carrying What's Left”

In this painting, I depicted pigeons carrying what is left of our symbols: olive branches and watermelon slices. These pigeons, often seen as messengers of peace, do not carry messages this time but the land itself: Its fruits, its roots, its flavor.

The olive branch extends the roots of our heritage, while the watermelon is a deep Palestinian symbol whose colors reflect the colors of the flag: Red, green, white, and black. I painted doves flying in a multi-layered background, between darkness and light, because our reality holds both: The shadows of war and the light of hope.

This painting is not about the birds but about us. About how we carry Palestine in everything, even in the fruits, even in the branches. And how, despite everything, there are still those who fly, carrying life

A realistically detailed portrait painting that depicts an elderly man's face like a living map of time. Fine wrinkles are distributed on the forehead and around the eyes and mouth, carefully drawn to emphasize each line as if it were a trace of a memory or experience. The eyes are the center of gravity in the work; a deep, steady gaze that carries a mixture of fatigue, wisdom, and patience, as if it stores years of suffering and untold stories.

Graduated charcoal and lead shading gives the face a realistic three-dimensionality, as shades of light and shadow play with bone protrusions and skin depressions, heightening the sense of authenticity and texture. A majestic scene of confrontation.

Dark forces advance from both sides, pressing inward, trying to extinguish the light in the center.

The light takes the form of a young woman - delicate yet radiant - who stands as a symbol of a violated homeland, targeted not for its weakness, but for its existence. Among the conflicting forces, a wolf stands out as a symbol of brutality and predatory power, amplifying the sense of threat and inevitability.

Painted in acrylic on canvas, this painting captures a moment of suspended tension between collapse and resistance. The darkness here is not inert; it moves, gathers, and penetrates. Yet the light remains - not as pride, but as a challenge.
