Forgotten civilization

The work visualizes the reality of the historic city of Sana'a in light of the political and social events that are ravaging it. It shows the city in an unconventional way, stripped of some of its architectural elements and aesthetic decorations, while its buildings are crumbling and falling apart. In this context, the datum stands as a barrier, symbolizing the city's long cultural history. The work also sheds light on different symbols through the rest of the artwork's vocabulary and its color and texture treatments.The work presents a vision of the historic city of Sana'a amidst the political and social events sweeping it.
